What you'll do :
- Learn about all sorts of rodent, insect, flying, and crawling
pests, study for licensing exams, and participate in regular
training to maintain certifications in a variety of pest control
topics
- Build professional relationships with clients and learn about
their unique business challenges
- Survey client sites to estimate and bid pest management
solutions
- Support bird, fumigation, and exclusion projects throughout the
greater Puget Sound area
- Help protect the health and safety of your community by

Description:
Position Title: Regional Project Assistant
Reports To: Regional Project Manager
Location: Regional Hub
EEOC Class: Individual Contributor
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Salary: $25/hr, DOE
Travel: 15-20%
Position Summary:
Directly supports project work in the assigned region. Regional
Project Assistant will support primarily bird work, but will also
assist with fumigations, wildlife trapping and exclusion. This
position will require flexibility in schedule and ability to
travel, to service locations throughout service territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work flexible schedule as required to meet client expectations,
including weekend and night work
- Travel throughout the assigned branch territories for work with
occasional travel outside the region throughout Sprague territory
(Overnight travel determined by location of work site)
- Obtain all licenses/certifications required below
- Learn skills of bird work, fumigations, and exclusion work
- Survey job sites; Price and propose solutions
- Install bird deterrent equipment and trap wildlife
- Perform container/structural fumigations
- Follow all job site safety requirements, including the proper
usage and wear of PPE at all times
- Perform other duties as needed and directed by the Regional
Project Manager Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Installation of bird deterrent systems: Architectural bird
netting, post & wire, shock track, bird spike and optical gel
pucks
- Bird waste remediation
- Wildlife trapping and proper euthanizing practices
- Accurate and thorough completion of Sprague job documentation
forms (bird survey form, wildlife trapping records, fumigation
survey, fumigation plan)
- Precise measurement of building structures, identify various
structural materials, and communicate information to Project
Manager for proposal
- General knowledge of construction
- Able to perform general pest control services as a member of a
regional team that supports Puget Sound branches
- Able to perform container fumigations and knowledge/skill to
support team on larger structural fumigations
- Able to work under various job site safety requirements
- Adherence to subcontractor job site requirements (i.e.
background checks, drug and alcohol screening)
Licenses/Certifications/Permits:
- Gen Pest
- Laws & Safety

- Public Health
- Stored Grain
- WCO (or passed WA state test and currently an apprentice)
- OSHA 10
- Hilti certification
- CDL Qualifications:
- Experience in physically demanding job
- Proposal writing experience preferred
- Bird work and fumigation experience a plus
- Construction background a plus
- Experience working from a boom lift
- Comfortable working at extreme heights
- Residence near regional hub preferred Education and/or
Experience
- Stable job history with experience in a physically demanding
job
- High school diploma or equivalent Language Skills
- Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals.
- Ability to interact tactfully and positively with Sprague staff
and management.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to
speak effectively to clients or Sprague employees. Mathematical
Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts and add, subtract,
multiply, and divide with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and
percents
- Calculate averages, ratios, proportions and rates; convert
decimals to fractions; convert fractions to percents. Reasoning
Ability
- Possess sufficient inductive and deductive reasoning ability to
perform job successfully
- Critically review, analyze, synthesize, compare and interpret
