Essential Functions Statement(s)*Establishes and maintains consistent and proper communication with management team.*Partners with management team to ensure the customer's expectations of the highest level of quality standards and service are achieved.*Responsible for meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.*Review and analyze daily and weekly reports to ensure constant improvement in operations.*Partners with management team to ensure timely completion and administration of all employment, labor transactions including employee scheduling, timekeeping, performance reviews, corrective actions, status changes, separations, attendance, and timely submission of required payroll data.*Supervises or assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and retention of employees.*Works with the management team in administering operation standards for cost control, waste reduction. quality, safety, and on time delivery.*Provides leadership and guidance to the front line employees. Establishes and communicates goals - objectives - emphasizes accountability and inspires positive behavior changes.*Ensures a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment*Provides direct supervision to production and/or hourly employees*Evaluates employees' performance and provide feedback*Drives continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and spending*Supports lean manufacturing efforts and projectsQualifications:- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; some college preferred- 3-5 years of progressive manufacturing / production line responsibility required- 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or production environment required - Manufacturing and production safety knowledge required- Mechanical aptitude- Fluent in English, both written and verbal- Strong attention to detail, quality focused and willing to learn.- Ability to lead by example and work well with others.- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the company.Additional Requirements of the Position:- Ability to operate and learn various equipment- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Must be able to work independently and as part of team effectively – strong attendance/tardy record- Ability to defuse conflict professionally and appropriately- Ability to document and report conflict, accident, injury, etc in a timely manner and without biased- Strong safety knowledge and awareness in manufacturing setting- Must be accurate and detail-oriented / strong mathematical skills- Collaborative and positive leadership skills / strong active listening skills- Ability to be flexible and adaptable at all times / self-started with strong initiative - Ability to build strong working relationships with production team and management- Ability to answer questions and respond quickly and positively to team members and management
