Description A Warehouse Lead job is available in Fife, WA at Milgard Windows and Doors. You will be responsible for assisting in the department management/supervision to assure acceptable safety, quality, and performance criteria are achieved. May involve direct supervisory oversight, training, and development of department employees. The ability to work multiple shifts and overtime when needed is a plus. Must have one to three years of related experience. Warehouse Lead job responsibilities include: Assists in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the department. Achieves desired results by communicating, motivating, and leading the department. Ensures compliance with daily production requirements to meet specified delivery dates. Constantly monitors personal and surrounding work to ensure that areas are clean and free of hazards. Maintains all equipment and tools in peak operating condition, calls for repairs or maintenance as needed, and constantly inspects machinery for damage. Assures a safe work environment through understanding and following safe work practices. Works with Shift Supervisor in the assignment and supervision of personnel to achieve an efficient operation at all times. This includes routing rush orders and ensuring trucks are secured, and paperwork is accurate. Liaison between shift supervisor and another crew leads to locate missing product. Ensure trucks meet on-time departure deadlines and assist with loading trucks. Assists personnel in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments to perform work according to standard operating procedures. Assists Manager to see that all warehouse duties are followed through properly to completion. Organize and schedule work assignments to achieve maximum efficiency and meet work objectives. Requirements Qualifications: Must be able to work multiple shifts and overtime when needed. Must have one to three years of related experience. Prior leadership and supervisory experience in managing a team are required. Previous experience in warehouse environment, particularly window manufacturing, preferred Glass handling and glass knowledge a plus. Experience with a handheld scanning unit Ability to compute fundamental math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Mechanical aptitude.
