Georgia-Pacific Gypsum in Tacoma, WA has an immediate need for full-time Entry Level Operators to work in a variety of departmental positions.This is an entry level position starting at $23.10/hour with the possibility of quickly moving into higher paying roles. This Union facility offers plenty of overtime opportunities. Employees are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance. What You Will Do In Your RoleOperating production equipment and machinery in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environmentPerforming quality checks on productsRelieving operator positions for breaksWorking as a team to exceed safety, production, and quality goalsKeeping work area clean before, during and after shiftAssisting crew members with setups, troubleshooting, asset care duties and making minor machine adjustmentsEntering data to maintain accurate records of orders shippedWorking around dust, grease, oil, and other chemical substances while performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping) The Experience You Will BringRequirements:Ability to lift 50 pounds routinelyMust be willing to work any shift including, days, nights, weekends, and holidays What Will Put You AheadA minimum of six (6) months of work experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, farming or warehouse environment OR military experienceForklift Experience/Forklift CertificationValid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
