Job Description:

Blazerworks is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for the upcoming school year in Tacoma, WA. The OT will join our team and provide valuable occupational therapy services to students in grades K-12. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans based on assessment results
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation and engagement in school activities
• Recommend and provide assistive technology and adaptive equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and accommodations Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington
  • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of sensory integration techniques, fine motor skills development, and therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail This is a part-time position, 2 days per week, for the duration of the school year from August 29, 2023, to June 18, 2024. The OT will work with students in grades K-12. The pay range for this position is $40-$42 per hour. Blazerworks offers weekly pay and an advisory team for support and guidance.
