About this position: Patient Access Center Representative

Patient Access Center Representative (PACR) is a key role that serves as the first point of contact for PPGNHAIK patients and provides exceptional customer service by providing information, scheduling appointments, and directing calls as appropriate. PPGNHAIK Patient Access Center is a complex, fast-paced and high call volume environment that requires strong multi-tasking, communication and customer service skills. Our Patient Access Representatives will handle calls from different states and time zones.

This is a full-time (37.5 hour per week) union position based at our Tacoma Patient Access Center.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, with varying hours between 9am to 5pm.

This is a union position and the pay range is from $16.72 to $22.42, placement in the range is dependent on experience. A generous benefit package is also offered.

What you'll be doing:

  • Utilizing outstanding customer service skills, answers incoming calls and evaluates patient requests.
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Directing calls and providing information with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Supporting organizational goals for exceptional customer service, patient experience, patient retention and appointment conversion. We'll trust you to:
    • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain client confidentiality
    • Value continuous learning and seeks ongoing training and development
    • Take action to support the affiliate's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
    • Value team work, flexibility and adaptability; embraces change You'll need to have:
      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Two years of customer service experience
      • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
      • Proof of completed COVID-19 Vaccinations and Proof of recent Influenza Vaccine is required prior to starting employment with PPGNHAIK. Extra points for:
        • Two years of experience in a call center environment
        • Experience in a health care setting, such as medical reception or appointment scheduling
        • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Perks:
