SCOPE OF POSITION:
Responsible for researching, inquiring about, and preparing grant proposals to meet the needs of the Salvation Army of Tacoma. In addition, the Grants and Compliance Manger is responsible for compliance, reporting and billing related to contracts.

Grant Writer General Duties and Responsibilities:


In cooperation with Business Operations Manager and Officers, creates funding plans based on the
specific needs of The Salvation Army of Tacoma.
Write, submit, and manage the grant proposal process including but not limited to, government contracts and private foundations. This includes preparing presentation materials and contract amendments/renewals and organizing and obtaining all materials needed for a complete and timely submittal as well as current legal documentation, certifications, licenses, insurance certificates and other documentation.
Serve as the primary contact for program managers, providers, and leadership for all tasks relating to funding opportunities for all Tacoma Salvation Army programs.
Serve as project coordinator for post-award reporting requirements, ensure contract and reporting for all contracts in partnership with Data, Accounting, and Program staff.
Research and identify relevant sources of grant/contract funding opportunities for the organization that align with the agency's goals and missions, projects, and objectives.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with agency contacts and collaborate with key stakeholders.
