Job Description:
The Employee Dining Cook is responsible for supporting the food
and beverage department by preparing and cooking food for employees
of the casino while providing exceptional internal guest service.
Additional duties include handling prep work, prepares soups and
salads, replenishes food items, organizes the walk in storage and
keeps work area neat, clean and orderly. Performs additional job
duties as assigned by the department manager. Position starts at
$18.00/hr and increases to $19.13/hr at successful completion of a
90-day orientation period.Education:High School Diploma or GED
equivalent requiredCulinary trainingExperience & Requirements:Two
years experience in line cooking for a dinner house
requiredExperience in grilling, broiling, saut--ing, and
steamingMust have experience prepping red meat, fish, shellfish,
poultry and pastasMust be able to coordinate cooking times with
co-workersMust have a valid food Washington State handler's
cardAdditional education and or experience may substitute for the
minimum requirements of this positionPhysical Requirements:Must be
able to stand for longer than 8 hoursHave the ability to lift 40
poundsMobility to climb stairs on a routine basisMust be able to
tolerate a smoke filled environmentAdditional Requirements:Must be
able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screenUpon offer must
obtain Class IIIB Gaming License ($155 - $200)Must be able to work
all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and
holidays
