UX DesignerLocation: Tacoma, WAEducation Required: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, management information systems, math or engineering.We're looking for an experienced UX Designer to join our team of product owners and domain experts to drive the functionality of our web-based software products. Our goal is to provide beautiful, efficient, and intuitive experiences for our users. If you're passionate about experience and design and have proven experience creating those experiences, we would love to hear from you. This role involves closely working closely with a team of designers and developers to deliver first-class data-driven web and mobile solutions. In addition to strong UX design skills, the successful candidate will have experience gathering, defining and conveying detailed software requirements. The ability to transform sometimes vague requirements into well-defined functionality ready to be handed over to developers for implementation is critical.Designers on our team also often act as a liaison between developers and end-user stakeholders, so the ability to learn and understand the customer domain (cost analysis) is fundamental to the positionPortfolio demonstrating talent and skill designing websites and mobile viewsBachelor's degree required with 2+ years of relevant experience (degree or equivalent professional experience in Human Computer Interaction, HCDE, Human Factors, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Informatics, or related degree)Experience using Figma or an equivalent mockup/wire-framing applicationWorking knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and frameworks (bootstrap, material design)Breaking down high-level epics and features into product backlog items that can be accomplished during a sprintExperience working with developersExperience with data-driven design (analytics analysis) is a plusExperience creating icons and other custom illustrations for experiences is beneficialExperience working with the Department of Defense or Military, though not necessary, would be beneficialU.S. citizenship is requiredYou'll enjoy working in our casual, supportive, and collaborative environment with flexible hours and a hybrid work model.
