About being a Survey Party Chief KPG Psomas has an exciting new opportunity for a Survey Party Chief! Our Survey Party Chief is responsible for completing topographic and boundary surveys, providing construction staking, working near the railroad and airports, and manages all aspects of assigned survey projects. In addition to working in close collaboration with our integrated team of engineers, PMs, and construction services, the Survey Party Chief also supervises and mentors other survey crew team members. This role practices effective priority evaluation, strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach. We are a team-oriented firm that specializes in municipal projects. Responsibility Highlights for our Survey Party Chief
  • Work independently to complete control networks, topographic surveys, construction staking, level loops, monument recovery, and as-built surveys.
  • Mentor and supervise survey crew team members
  • Coordinate daily field work, take field notes, and complete projects within budget.
  • Perform other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications to be a Survey Party Chief
    • Associates Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related field
    • 5+ Years' Experience with Municipal Improvements, Commercial Development & Construction Projects
    • Ability to travel and remain on project for up to several days
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and work outside in various field terrain and weather conditions
    • Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid license and clean driving history
    • Ability to pass a standard drug and alcohol test Preferred Qualifications for our Survey Party Chief
      • 10+ Years' Experience with Municipal Improvements, Commercial Development & Construction Projects
