communityPark Place is a 90-bed adult mental health residential
treatment facility (RTF). We provide residents who experience
serious and persistent mental health challenges a higher quality of
life in a safe and therapeutic environment. Staff partner with
residents to develop an individualized treatment plan based not
just on mental health needs, but also their hopes and dreams for
the future.Daily Duties:Residential Counselors (RCs) aid residents
in daily activities that enhance their self-care skills,
independence, social skills and self-reliance. This can be anything
from doing laundry with a resident to leading group discussions.
RCs are responsible for completing daily rounds to ensure that
residents are safe and accounted for. Since RCs continuously
interact with the residents, they work in conjunction with the
clinical team to ensure all residents get the support they need.
RCs use an electronic record program to chart daily activities
throughout the facility.Expectations:Residential Counselors must
maintain ethical and professional standards of practice at all
times, i.e. maintaining proper boundaries with residents and
ensuring that HIPAA standards are met. Staff should exhibit an
understanding of mental health issues and demonstrate empathy,
hopefulness, and resourcefulness in interaction with residents. RCs
must ensure that daily progress notes, which reflect observations
of residents' clinical and behavioral care, are submitted and
completed correctly in a timely manner.Qualifications:
- All new hires will be required to show proof of COVID-19
- High school graduate, GED or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mentally ill individuals.
