Program Assistant Complex Care Management

Northwest Physicians Network is now offering qualified candidates an opportunity to join our team as a Program Assistant Complex Care Management. The Program Assistant performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the care management operations. This position resolves administrative problems and inquiries; composes, edits and proofreads correspondences and prepares a range of administrative documents and reports. Additional responsibilities include meeting support and answering/prioritizing communications and correspondence. Work involves the development of moderately complex databases, spreadsheets, presentations and graphic materials.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Coordinates and performs a range activity supporting Clinical Teams

Responsible for managing all appeal and reconsideration requests to ensure complete and timely response

Serves as a liaison with both internal and external customers on behalf of Clinical Ops in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems

Composes and edits correspondence,

Edits and validates outbound reports

Electronic file protocol oversite Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents

Develops, maintains and performs routine analyses and calculations of data for internal reports

Assists management and staff in problem solving, project planning, and development and execution of stated goals and objectives

Manages daily interfacing between Clinical and Claims systems to ensure accurate authorization transactions

Reviews and assigns inbound authorization requests

Participates in ongoing Clinical team compliance auditing

Manages collection of periodic health plan data reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of health care delivery systems

Demonstrate knowledge of PC applications including MS Office Suite

Ability to use written and oral communication skills

Ability to read and interpret data

Skill in writing clear, grammatically correct, easy–to-use instructional documentation

Ability to identify learning needs, set goals and seek educational opportunities

Ability to analyze problems and formulate appropriate plans, solutions and courses of action

Knowledge of age specific communication needs with the ability to listen actively and respond to internal and external customers in a timely, competent manner both verbally and nonverbally

Ability to work with frequent interruptions

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and affiliates

Ability to maintain confidentiality of member and all related entity business matters of the organization and its partners

Ability to manage detail and work with accuracy

Ability to recognize and act appropriately in situations where member care needs exceed medical certification

Skill in working with a team; ability to collaborate on projects with colleagues

Skill in working effectively under deadlines and changing priorities

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Associates Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field preferred

Experience:

3 years administrative experience with increasing level of responsibility

2 years working experience, within the last 5 years, with managed care products, Federal and State regulatory requirements (i.e., NCQA, HCFA, DOC), multiple health care delivery systems preferred
