We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our SaaS Next-Gen Platform team in Tacoma, WA, reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering. In this role, you will be a part of the team building a SaaS-based recursive DNS Firewall Service that provides visibility into infected and compromised off-premise devices, roaming users, and branch and remote offices. As part of the SaaS Platform team, you will have the opportunity to use the latest technology to deliver the core foundation for all Infoblox applications. You will also get the opportunity to work with the best of the technical and thought leadership team at Infoblox.You're the ideal candidate if you are a great collaborator, strategic thinker, driven to collaborate across teams, operate independently, and deadline and results-driven. What you'll do: Join an agile SaaS team to design, develop and maintain features and iteratively deploy services using Infoblox's cloud-based architecture Design and implement components of Next Generation Platform Recommend ways to improve system reliability, efficiency, and quality Work closely with various cross-functional product teams Stay current on key trends especially in the area of technologies and frameworks like Kubernetes, Docker, ELK/Prometheus Be responsible for key back-end components of the platform. Develop REST & gRPC APIs, as well as contribute to the overall API framework What you'll bring: 4+ years experience in software development with programming languages such as Python, Golang, or Java In-depth knowledge of Linux system internals including boot, network, and storage subsystems Knowledge of protocols such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, TCP/IP Good understanding of Microservices architecture and container-based software Experience in microservices development and container-based software using Docker and other container technologies is a huge plus Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, etc) is a plus Good exposure in application performance tuning, memory management, scalability Ability to design highly scalable distributed systems, using different open source technologies Experience building high-performance algorithms Bachelor's degree in CS, CE or EE is required; Masters in CS, CE, or EE is preferred Good communication skills What success looks like: After six months, you will... Develop expertise in GoLang/Python Learn new skills related to cloud technologies Develop expertise in a microservices architecture Improve efficiency rate with completing projects After about a year, you will...
