Job Description:
Umpqua Bank Payroll Specialist - Financial Pacific Leasing in
Tacoma , Washington Job PurposeSupervise assigned accounting staff
and oversee all aspects of financial reporting and tax
compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcess all monthly
payroll data, including updating the payroll system (ADP) for
employee changes and reviewing all department managers' employee
reports for each pay period.Handling adjustments to E-Time and
employee profiles.Math skills necessary to make pay calculations
for overtime, leaves, final pays, etc.Maintain and update payroll
records for each payroll and audit purposes.Prepare and submit
payroll reports information to Supervisor.Provides highest level of
Customer Service to all staff and upper management timely.Attention
to detail and analytic skills with aptitude in
problem-solving.Confidentiality always maintained.Stay updated on
relevant legislation, polices, and regulations regarding
payroll.Maintain and update certain reconciliations following
standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data
from which answers can be readily obtained.Performs all other
duties as assigned by management.Ability to work overtime at month
end or when necessary.Demonstrates compliance in assigned job
function and applies to designated job responsibilities. Takes
personal initiative following all policies and procedures, Bank
Secrecy Act, compliance regulations, and completes all required and
job-specific training. Raises and/or addresses compliance issues
for evaluation, investigation, and
resolution.Licenses/Certification: N/AOther Training, Skills, and
Experience Requirement:High School diploma or equivalent.Must have
a minimum of 2 years related experience.Computer savvy with working
knowledge of ADP or equivalent payroll systems.Familiar with
general account principles.Excellent Communication skills and
professionalism.
