Our Tacoma Foundry is looking for an--experienced Human Resources
Business Partner--to provide guidance on HR matters, lead workforce
planning, and deliver solutions across the full employee lifecycle
to meet business needs in a manufacturing setting. You will partner
with Leaders and Executes around the globe to drive key business
results and HR business strategies. The Human Resources Business
Partner position is responsible for supporting and coaching shift
leadership's performance, conducting disciplinary actions,
positively developing the work environment, leading employee
relations and retention, and analyzing business processes.
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources Business
Partners for the Americas, you will provide solution-oriented and
company-specific advice to coach leaders in policies and procedures
across organization by interpreting current policies and changes to
policy. With your background in compliance and labor laws, you
possess a functional understanding of federal contracts, labor
relations, and union contracts negotiations to mitigate risk. You
will support union negotiations and maintain a positive working
relationship with representatives.
As a subject matter expert of Human Resources-related metrics and
the labor market, you will seek ways to proactively improve
organizational processes and outcomes consistent with global HR
best practices. Bringing your--demonstrated experience within the
manufacturing or related industry,--you will execute programs,
policies, and procedures to drive an engaged, diverse and high
performing organizational culture.
With your excellent attention to detail and proactive nature, you
will participate in special activities, projects, and programs in
order to support Bradken's business goals. Using an
employee-centric approach, you will analyze root causes of work
environment issues in collaboration and cooperation with key
stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to occasionally travel
and work from home.
- B.A. or B.S from accredited university required. Masters or PhD
- 10+ years of work experience and/or previous HRBP experience at
a Manager level required.
- SHRM certification preferred.
- Expertise in supporting business units as an HR Generalist in
federally regulated environments required.
- Strong aptitude for facilitation, consulting, conflict
resolution, relationship-building, influence, negotiation, and
project management skills in an active work environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of labor relations and union
- Ability to understand business needs and connect those to Human
Resources strategies, metrics, and planning.
- Demonstrated implementation and execution of change
- Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically
PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience and proficiency with HRIS systems.
- Sound values and professional ethics in management of
confidential information, with high integrity.
