Job DescriptionTrapper's Sushi is now looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our growing team! As one of the Pacific Northwest's most desired dining establishments, our mission is to learn our customers names, as well as provide the best service and food possible, leaving our customers with a craving to come back for more! Kitchen Managers oversees all aspects of back of house operations, supervise and assist with daily tasks and preparations, and ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards. The Kitchen Manager is also responsible for kitchen administrative tasks including ordering product, maintaining kitchen inventory, scheduling, and employee onboarding.   • Oversees all BOH positions (Master Chefs, Sushi Chefs, Sushi Rollers, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Dishwashers)
  • Conducts and/or oversees all BOH hiring, scheduling, training, and disciplinary action
  • Creates and maintains all PAR sheets, Order Guides, Deep Cleaning schedules and Beginning/End of Shift duty checklists
  • Facilitate performance/progress reports quarterly for all BOH team
  • Maintains all operating standards including food safety, cleanliness, and quality
  • Provide a high level of attention to guest satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with employees, vendors, and customers, living up to Trapper's Mission Statement
  • Actively display knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and current promotions
  • Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures
  • Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core valuesExperience and Qualifications
    • Proven working experience as a Kitchen manager, or multiple years' experience as a Sushi Chef or Head Chef
    • 2 years+ experience in restaurant management/supervising team
    • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently and ethically, adhering to our core values
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
    • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
    • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Culinary school diploma a plus
    • Washington State Food Worker Card and MAST Alcohol Server Permit are required (before first day of work)Physical Demands
      • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
      • Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty pounds
      • Capability of working in a faced paced environment
