Description American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist
(X-Ray) with 1-2 years of acute care experience to serve a diverse
patient population spanning neonates to geriatrics across imaging,
ED, OR, and NICU settings. Details - Acute care hospital imaging
department serving both adult and pediatric patients across
inpatient, outpatient, ED, OR, trauma, and NICU settings - Patient
population spans neonates to geriatrics, including ICU-level
patients - Department includes 3 fluoroscopy rooms, 4 plain film
rooms, 7 portable units, 7 C-arms, and 1 O-ARM, with an average of
190 x-ray studies per 24-hour period - Procedures include general
plain film, fluoroscopy (inpatient and outpatient), OR cross-table
and cervical spine imaging, portable imaging, and full-body
radiography - Patient ratio is 1:1 - EMR is Epic (required);
Radiant is the imaging subset used - McKesson PACS experience
strongly preferred; Digital Siemens x-ray and Shimadzu portable
units preferred; OEC C-arms required - 10-hour day shifts, Monday
through Thursday, 0830–1900 - Weekend rotation based on department
needs - On-call requirement of 24 hours per month on weekends, with
on-site response required within 30 minutes; call may be split into
two 12-hour shifts - Weekday call hours are 1700–0600; weekend call
runs 0600–0600 - Float required within all areas of the imaging
department as well as to the affiliated pediatric facility
Requirements - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an acute care
setting - Current BLS, ARRT or RCIS certification - WA Rad Tech
license required if applicable - Experience with portable imaging
(required) and OEC C-arms (required) - Proficiency in general
x-ray, fluoroscopy, OR imaging, and trauma radiography -
Familiarity with neonatal, pediatric, and ICU patient populations -
Epic EMR experience required - McKesson PACS experience strongly
preferred - First-time travelers will be considered with acute care
experience Additional Information - Provides x-ray services across
multiple care areas including ED, OR, NICU, and inpatient units,
and will transport ED patients to and from the x-ray department -
Candidate must be able to work independently alongside other staff
- Department protocols and manuals are available on-site for
reference - RT, Hospitalist, and Intensivist support available 24/7
- Orientation consists of 4-5 days covering fluoroscopy, OR, ED,
and float/inpatient portable roles, with 8-10 hour training shifts
based on daily department needs; includes completion of a
compliance check-off sheet - Holiday coverage is expected when the
holiday falls on a scheduled workday - Scrubs in any color are
acceptable; camouflage, denim, and hoodies are not permitted;
hospital provides OR scrubs for work in the OR - Closed-toe shoes
are required - Sleep room available for on-call use and must be
reserved in advance - Parking is free in designated areas - RTO
requests are managed through the Radiology Manager - Two
professional references (supervisor-level or above) are required;
one reference may be submitted at the time of consideration with

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week
