Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a dynamic OR environment with strong robotics and CVOR experience in Washington. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a large hospital Operating Room with 20 OR suites including CVOR, general, neuro, ortho, trauma, and outpatient cases - Assignments include cardiac, vascular, neuro, ortho, trauma, GYN, GI, and emergency general surgery cases - Robotic procedures are performed, primarily with the DaVinci XI system - Schedule consists of 10-hour or 12-hour day shifts, with some evening or night options - Main OR travelers participate in trauma call; call response time is 30 minutes - Heart call and pediatric call team involvement may be assigned based on skill set - Epic EMR is used; experience preferred but not strictly required - Scrub attire is provided - First-time travelers will be considered if they have strong OR experience - Dynamic and collaborative team culture with supportive leadership and a strong focus on safety, process improvement, and education - No transplant, burn, or adult ophthalmology cases - Orientation includes 1-2 days of general and unit-specific training, with assessment for additional needs - Free parking is available in a parking garage - Unit culture values kindness, collaboration, and work-life balance - Up to 5 days of time off may be approved; additional missed hours may be added to assignment end - No personal phones allowed on the unit; regular breaks are required /n /n Requirements/n - Active WA or compact RN license required - Current BLS certification is required - At least 1 year of strong OR experience is required - Proficiency with DaVinci robotic procedures is mandatory - Must be able to scrub and/or circulate OR cases - Must be comfortable with blood administration equipment and assisting with arterial lines and wound vacs - Epic EMR experience preferred - Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-623145.
