Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for night shifts in a
Level III Trauma Center requiring acute care and trauma experience
in large facilities. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a
hospital-based X-ray unit within a 375-bed Level III Trauma Center
- Patient population includes adults requiring general X-rays,
portables, OR cases, fluoro, and swallow studies - Night shift
schedule: Wednesday 5:30 PM–6:00 AM, Saturday-Sunday 7:00 PM–7:30
AM with 12-hour shifts - Standby call required 2-3 times per month
and every other holiday - Average daily caseload is up to 170
patients - X-ray department consists of 2 X-ray rooms and 1 fluoro
room - Uses EPIC EMR, Change Healthcare PACS, Siemens X-ray and
fluoro equipment, portable Shimadzu, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and
MedRad injector - Minimal floating; may perform portable X-rays as
needed - Responsibilities include performing general X-rays,
portable imaging, OR cases, and assisting with trauma imaging
during night shifts - Support available from lead X-ray tech,
respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and radiology team - Orientation
period is approximately one week with additional time as needed -
First-time travelers will be considered if acute care trauma
experience criteria are met - Fixed and repeating schedule with
call and holiday expectations; approval for time off required
through management - Scrubs of any color may be worn with a
professional appearance and no logos or designs - Free parking
available onsite - COVID-19 vaccine required /n /n Requirements/n -
Active ARRT certification required - Current BLS certification
required - State license required if applicable - At least 1 year
acute care experience in a large Level III or higher trauma
facility required - Proficient in general X-ray, trauma, and
operating room imaging procedures - Experience with fluoro and
swallow studies preferred but not required for night shifts -
Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, preferred /n
