Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with at least two years of emergency department experience and current WA or compact RN license for a night shift contract. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital - 32-bed ED with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 - General ED population with cases including abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, behavioral health, geriatrics, rarely pediatrics, and occasional L&D - Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system - Shifts are 12 hours, with mid-shift start times (including options like 3pm-3am or 7pm-7am) - Required to work every other weekend as part of the schedule - Holiday coverage required as needed by the unit - Strong teamwork, organization, communication, and time management skills are essential - Support staff includes patient care techs, receptionists, and respiratory therapists available 24/7 - Charge nurses do not take patient assignments - All staff responsible for telemetry monitoring with support from HUC - General hospital orientation provided, followed by unit-specific shifts and independent facility learning - Scrub color is flexible - Free parking is available onsite - Lab draws may be performed by phlebotomy, nurses, or techs - RTO up to 7 days may be requested; additional days require approval /n /n Requirements/n - Active WA or compact RN license required - Minimum of two years of recent ER experience required - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MOAB 1 & 2 (or CPI), and TNCC certifications required - Telemetry competency exam must be completed and passed prior to start - Epic charting experience preferred - Will not consider first-time travelers /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-643131.
