Health is seeking a full time board certified Orthopedic Trauma
Surgeon to provide hospitalist coverage to practice at our award
winning St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. St. Joseph is a
385 bed Level II Trauma Center and serves as the flagship tertiary
trauma care facility. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity
for a dedicated Orthopedic Hospitalist Trauma Surgeon to join our
dynamic team. The position entails providing comprehensive 24-hour
coverage for 14 days within a 28-day cycle, accumulating to an
annual commitment of 26 weeks. This full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)
schedule is meticulously designed to ensure a balanced workload
while guaranteeing consistent, high-quality patient care. The
surgeon will be fully supported by a skilled and collaborative
team, including two dedicated physician assistants who will work in
tandem to optimize efficiency and extend the reach of care. This
collaborative model fosters a supportive environment, allowing the
surgeon to focus on complex cases and critical decision-making,
while the physician assistants provide essential assistance with
patient management, pre- and post-operative care, and routine
follow-ups. The integrated approach of this position underscores

trauma services. Compensation: Compensation: $800,000 /year (this
includes b ase salary, with additional productivity incentive and
excess call coverage pay) *The posted compensation range is a
reasonable estimation in which CommonSpirit in good faith believes
it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at
the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less
