Job Title: GI/Endoscopy Procedural RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: WA State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Strong IV skills - Strong assessment skills Description: Client will not accept any candidates with license issues related to diverting medications or endangerment. Candidates with such hits will result in immediate contract cancellation. There are 4 suites in the hospital and 3 rooms for outpatient procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. In phase II, nurses can take two patients with a pre-admit ratio of 1:2. Travelers are typically used in Pre-Admit and Recovery. They are rarely used for intra-operative procedures unless they have endoscopy specialty experience. Intra-operative roles will only be assigned if skills are validated on-site, with preference given to permanent staff training. Common cases include colonoscopies and EGDs. Travelers will not be expected to perform ERCP or higher acuity procedures. Charge nurses are available for support. Techs primarily assist nursing staff in department duties. Anesthesia providers and techs manage respiratory equipment. Shifts include four ten-hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Schedules are posted monthly, filling in staffing gaps. There is one day off per week and no weekend or call requirements. Travelers will mainly work in outpatient settings but may float to inpatient units. The dress code requires navy scrubs. Candidates should be flexible and willing to quickly adapt to new processes. Cancellation policy allows for one shift cancellation per two-week period. The charting system used is EpicCare Inpatient EMR. A BSN is not required for this role. Trauma level for the facility is 3. The care setting is acute.
