DescriptionCHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital --60-bed --inpatient Rehab hospital to serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare and located in Tacoma, Washington.

As an--Speech & Language Pathologist--your responsibilities will include:--

• 
  Direct application of speech / language pathology treatment modalities
  
  
• 
  Evaluating, planning, directing and treating patients referred for speech / language treatment
  
  
• 
  Participating in interdisciplinary activities such as performance improvement projects, infection control and safety programs, team meetings and conferences, etc.
  
  
• 
  Providing--instruction and education to--patients' family members--and other caregivers as well as to other members of the inter-disciplinary team
  
  
• 
  Documenting patient care in accordance with hospital,--regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

    QualificationsThe range for this position will be $47.50 to $50.00 per hour. We would expect those hired into this job would be paid within this pay range, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this range.
    
    As a--Speech and Language Pathologist--you will need to--have:
    
    
    • 
      Current Washington State Licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist
      
      
    • 
      Master's Degree from an accredited--speech and language pathology--program
      
      
    • 
      Minimum of six months speech and language pathology--experience preferred - Past Clinical Fellowship
      
      
    • 
      Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
      
      
    • 
      Strong organizational, teamwork--and communication skills
