postpartum mother/baby roomsCares for medically complex and
high-risk postpartum patientsSome of what our nurses do:Provide the
highest-level of care for our patients by working with Obstetric,
Maternal Fetal Medicine and Pediatric/Newborn providers who are
in-house and accessible around the clockHave access to certified
lactation consultants 7-days per weekCollaborate with dedicated
perinatal social workers for care coordination, as neededAdhere to
AWHONN staffing guidelinesNurse patient ratios are assigned by
acuityRatios can be anywhere from 1:3-1:5 (mother = 1 patient, Baby

state license to practice as an RNgraduated from an accredited
school of nursing2 years of current/recent inpatient mother/baby
