*Traveler must live 1 hour from Summit, Elma, WA or have a commute that is 1 hour.
- # of beds: 10
- Ratios: 1:05
- Required certifications: BLS ACLS
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COVID, CHF, DM, simple cardiac not needing intervention.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: CPAP/Bipap, phlebotomy, breathing treatments, tele monitoring, need to know how to
mix meds.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes- Titrate per ordered parameters
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amiodarone, cardizem, insulin, heparin.
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: 1 Charge day/night, House supervisor on at night M-F and Day/night on Saturday and
Sunday. Managers/ Assistant managers do house supervisor duties M-F.
- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: yes 1-2 depending on day. 1 at night.
- RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): CPAP/ BIPAP
- Is there tele on this unit Monitor Techs RNs read strips: yes, No monitor techs. Nurses read strips.
- Shifts & Scheduling: 6-630
- Weekend Requirement: Every other
- Holiday Requirement: Will be required to work some holidays
- Is there a call or standby requirement: No
- Floating Requirements: Floating to ED- If no ED experience, will take lower acuity patients.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color of professional scrubs
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 3 shifts on home unit, additional orientation to ED
- Religious and medical exemptions: Facility does allow both without additional testing but the N95 is required at all times while on campus.
