Description Providence is calling a Physical Therapisty (1.0
FTE/40 hours per week, Day Shift) to work at Physical Therapy in
Providence Centralia in Centralia, WA. Apply Today! Applications

outpatient clinic will work with a variety of patients. Patients
are mostly orthopedic in nature, but can include any patient in
need of outpatient physical therapy services. The Physical
Therapist needs to be able to work as a team that includes physical
therapy staff, local physicians, and Providence Centralia Hospital
staff. In addition, he/she should work well autonomously and be
willing and able to take on project development/improvement tasks
In this position you will:
- Render or supervise physical therapy treatment prescribed by a
licensed provider:
- Performs initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and physical
therapy treatments.
- Ensures that all physical therapy services are provided in a
safe manner and incorporate the latest knowledge of physical
therapy
- Ensures that a physical therapist is familiar with each patient
at all times to allow for appropriate progression, or referral, or
the patient
- Has knowledge of services available to patient after discharge
to allow for appropriate recommendation for follow-through
care
- Effective in dealing with patients (or customers) of all ages.
This position has regular and recurrent direct contact with
Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics
- Assesses and adjusts care/treatment to be compatible with the
age, growth, development, and needs of the patient
- Assesses patient's level of understanding and adjusts care
appropriately.
- Provides patient and/or family with information about the
various aspects of the plan of care.
- Portrays a calm and reassuring manner when caring for patients
and families.
- Utilizes supplies and equipment that are appropriate for the
patient's status.
- Assesses the psycho/social needs of the patient, e.g.,
educational needs, spiritual needs, and community resources
needs
- Effective in maintaining a level of documentation that is
consistent with the guidelines of the profession, of regulatory
agencies, and of third-party payors
- Responsible for ensuring that the clinic is financially
successful
- Understands the indicators used to monitor productivity
- Understands the importance of rendering physical therapy
treatment of optimal length
- Assists other clinic staff in determining optimal staffing of
the clinic.
- Utilizes Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides to effectively
maximize the amount of time spent with patients.
- Responsible for maintaining a professional environment in the
clinic
- Effectively supervises support staff
- Effectively resolves employee conflicts at the lowest possible
level within the clinic.
- Helps to maintains the appearance of the clinic throughout the
day.
- Miscellaneous responsibilities
- Meets the requirements for licensure set forth by the state of
Washington.
- Maximizes continuing education benefits
- Accepts assignments and new projects willingly.
- Follows the guidelines, policies, and procedures of Providence
Centralia Hospital and Providence Physical Therapy Required
qualifications this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Washington licensure in Physical Therapy
- AHA Basic Life Support Preferred qualifications for this
position include:
- A minimum of one full-time internship in an orthopedic physical
therapy clinic
