Community Health Care is a private, non-profit organization created in 1987 in the Great Tacoma area with five medical, one urgent care and four dental clinics. Our mission is to provide the highest quality health care with compassionate and accessible service for all!The Assistant Medical Clinic Manager will assist the Clinic Manager in a wide variety of administrative and supervisory duties. The Assistant Clinic Manager will serve as primary POC for all matters when the Clinic Manager is not available. The Assistant Clinic Manager is required to use independent judgment in the administrative supervision of clinic staff. The assistant manager performs a variety of activities within the administrative scope of work. Administrative activities include but are not limited to: supervision of clinic staffs, staff training, and the effective management of patient problems. The Assistant Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels are available on a daily basis, assuring that necessary data is collected and reported in a timely manner, and assuring that facility operation costs stay within available fiscal resources including on-going monitoring of monthly expenditures of the clinic. The Assistant Clinic Manager is responsible for assuring accuracy of clinic documentation systems, overall efficiency of clinic operations and budget.We offer a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Continuing Education and Retirement Contributions!ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Reviews all leave time and time-sheets of staff, maintains adequate staffing to support provider level.Maintains supplies, equipment, and inventories; arranges for repairs, replacements, and maintenance care of facility and equipment; and ensures safe working conditions as delegated by the Clinic Manager.In coordination with the Clinic Manager and Human Resources Department, develops, plans, and assists with orientation of new clinic staff. Assists to provide on-site orientations.Coordinates replacements for absent staff as needed; recommends staffing patterns and needs to the Clinic Manager.Assist the clinic manager with enhancing clinic flow by delegating tasks, prioritizing work, routing patients and traffic, receiving all first time agents/professionals, assisting in the scheduling of all routine and/or supplemental activities.Working with QI Manager, manages patient grievances according to established policy.Liaison for clinic staff with the Lead Outreach Worker and QI Manager relating to staff and patient education, authorization referral process for managed care patients and any complaint process.Assists with overseeing the referral and transfer of care process for patientsResponsible for preparation, stocking, and cleaning of all clinic areas; routing and preparing patients for exam; assisting providers as needed.Responsible for collection of data and participation in audits.Participates in staff meetings, workshops, committee meetings as requested by administration.Assists providers in all administrative functions including gathering data, faxing, emails and processing delivered mail.Provide translation when capable and able.Attend meetings.Participate in quality improvement projects as assigned.Work as a team with other staff for continuity and efficient, quality care.Requires adherence to all policies, standards and procedures included in the Admin, Clinical and HR Manuals and the agency Code of Conduct.Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree in business or related area or 3-5 years of experience in an administrative position, preferably medically related. Current certification/licensure appropriate to training (LPN, MA, etc.)2 years clinical experience. Current CPR.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bilingual ability.Experience in managed care setting.Experience in Community Health Clinic setting.Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
