Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care specifically to adult, oncology/hematology patients.
Additional Essential Job Functions
Administers chemotherapy and biotherapies.
Applies knowledge of current cancer treatment modalities to patient care.
Performs as a relief Charge Nurse when assigned. Tasks include, but are not limited to: floor report; patient placement based on acuity, staffing and diagnosis; problem solving with manager and/or peers.
Qualifications Education/Work Experience
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
The following recent work experience is preferred:
A minimum of two years in an oncology acute care setting or related work experience (ie. Med/Surg or ICU/PCU);
One year in chemotherapy administration. Licensure/Certification
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
* Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS Certification.
Certification in Oncology Nursing preferred.
