Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Level Experienced Job Location Tacoma Ave - Tacoma, WA Position Type Full-Time/Part-Time ARNP Travel Percentage Travel within the community Job Shift Day/Evening Job Category Health Care Description Comprehensive Life Resources, a community mental health organization based in Tacoma, WA and serving Pierce County, WA for nearly 60 years, is looking for a child and adolescent psychiatric nurse practitioner (ARNP). The successful candidate will work as part of multidisciplinary teams including nursing, case management and therapists caring for an urban, safety-net population with a high prevalence of serious emotional disturbances across different care settings. An important focus for the ARNP in our multidisciplinary care teams is improving psychiatric and overall health outcomes utilizing evidence-based practices as well as a willingness to participate in outreach visits. The specifics of the position include: 0.5 FTE seeing patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team including another ARNP, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, nursing, therapy, case management and a consulting developmental pediatrician in our Children's Long-term Inpatient Psychiatric (CLIP) facility, the Pearl Youth Residence, a residential treatment facility with 27 beds that provides care for adolescents with psychiatric disorders producing substantial functional impairment. The remaining 0.5 FTE will be spent seeing children and adolescents in our child psychiatric clinic. There are also teaching opportunities through supervision of Family Medicine residents and Primary Care Nurse Practitioner residents from Community Health Care Family Medicine as well as working with ARNP students. While there are telephone on-call responsibilities (compensated in addition to base salary and benefits) associated with the CLIP facility, there are no weekend or holiday rounding responsibilities. The position reports to CLR's Chief Medical Officer. Eligible candidates should have an interest in working with youth with serious emotional disturbances as well as a DEA-waiver to prescribe buprenorphine. Candidates with a minimum of two years' experience working in the field are especially encouraged to apply. Qualifications Candidates for this position--will be offered competitive salary and benefits packages that include 403b, health/dental/vision/life insurance and reimbursement for CME/licensure/board certification expenses. While this position is advertised as full-time, part-time status (minimum 0.4 FTE; minimum of 0.8 FTE is necessary for health/dental/vision/life insurance benefit eligibility though pro-rated CME/licensure/board certification reimbursement is available) is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
