Responsible for resident services and other duties assigned,
performing duties in conjunction with other staff and volunteers as
appropriate. Duties include medication assistance/administration,
nursing services, dining services and others as needed for resident
well-being. Trains other staff as assigned. Adheres to and conveys
philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice,
individuality, and a home-like environment for residents. Acts as a
lead trainer for staff, as instructed by Director of Nursing. Acts
as on-call staff when requested by Director of Nursing. Provides
back-up to Director of Nursing when needed. Receives and gives
report from the previous shift. Reviews assignments with Director
of Nursing and Administrator. Reads staff communication records,
maintains familiarity with resident records, and documents in
resident records as required. Evaluates health emergencies and
determines emergency medical measures to be taken regarding
resident care per LVN/LPN Scope of Practice and State Regulations.
Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL's,
environmental orientation, assistance or administration with
medication, treatments and other care while encouraging self-care
and independence, as permitted by state regulations. Provides
intermittent nursing services within scope of license and state
regulations. Assists with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning
up afterwards, as requested. Provides services as indicated on
resident treatment and service plans. Assists residents moving in
and out, as assigned./- Assists with laundry service as requested
Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control and safety
procedures. Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment
for residents, staff and visitors, including provision of
housekeeping services for residents. Observes changes in resident
status, needs or preferences, and communicates them appropriately
to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager. Observes
other problems and communicates them appropriately. Demonstrates
knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety,
disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency procedures.
Assists with individual and group social recreational activities.
Notifies physician, RN and/or designated agent(s) of resident
status/change as appropriate. Receives and executes written and
verbal orders from the physician or designated agent, as permitted
by state regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Must
possess a current LPN license. License must be in good standings.
Must have a minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a
healthcare setting. Must have training in rehabilitative and
restorative nursing practices. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical
practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and
guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities. PandoLogic.
