An exciting opportunity for the Director of Nursing Professional Development just became available in the Olympic Peninsula, Washington.The Director of Nursing Professional Development will join this outstanding community hospital that provides regional services in Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Urology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, etc. The Director will join a health system that offers continual growth and opportunity to develop throughout ones career. The Director of Nursing Professional Development will report to the Chief Nursing Officer. This role will oversee all aspects of nursing education and staff development of the entire hospital. The Director will be leading all of these unit-based nurse educators from Emergency Department, Med Surg, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery, and other specialties on training and development of clinical competencies. The Director of Nursing Professional Development will be supported by a clinical nurse educator and an administrative liaison. The Director is responsible for development, coordination, delivery and/or evaluation of patient care and educational activities. This person will develop and support educational initiatives, serve as a mentor to new leaders, and be a champion for quality improvement projects.The Director of Nursing Professional Development will enjoy the area best known for its clean air, lush greens, lovely harbors, sailboats and cruises. You will have easy access to the world famous Olympic National Park. The close knit community is family friendly, so it will be a great place to raise children.
