providing the best client experience possible.Edward Jones is
looking for a strong leader in the Engineering Excellence Team to
lead the Center for Enablement. As a director you will help lead
our large and growing Quality Engineering departments and enable
our Development Experience and API Office practices. Within the
Technology organization you will play a key role in driving and
Engineering maturity, measuring Quality and adoption of Engineering
capabilities across our products as it relates to providing value
to the firm's portfolios of digital products.What You'll Do:The
Director will lead multiple teams to support the following
functions:
- Engineering Excellence Strategist - Excellent knowledge and
experience developing strategy and implementing of Quality
Practices, Engineering tooling and DevSecOps capabilities, with a
strong emphasis on automation around testing, building, and
scanning software at an enterprise scale. Experience developing,
testing and delivering CI/CD applications in Java and React.
- Delivery Advocate - Experience upgrading legacy applications to
new ways of delivering that include security scanning, automated
testing, and transparent metrics. Direct involvement in efforts to
mature and measure our agile and DevSecOps practices for the
organization as it relates to development experience.
- Strong Collaborator: Excellent collaboration and strategic
thinking to align department activities, strategies,
responsibilities, and objectives with the needs of digital
portfolios and drive for the right results. Partners successfully
with peers across the Technology Division & among Portfolio
Leadership to establish strong relationships to deliver on common
value-add goals
- Strategic Thinker: Able to analyze factors and variables to
create alignment of department strategies, activities, and
objectives with the overall needs of the digital portfolios, while
driving for the right results
- Excellent Communicator: Communicates in a direct, honest &
empathetic manner with the ability to convey the strategic
direction that's understandable at all levels of the
organization.
- People Development: Develop leaders responsible to you and
develop yourself while internalizing leadership feedback. Build
strong relationships across the Quality, API and Development
Experience organizations, the Technology division and with the
extended product leadership team. Proactively nurture relationships
with leaders and associates across the firm and support productive
collaboration between teams.
- Talent Sourcer: Experienced in hiring, development planning,
talent reviews, succession planning and attracting/retaining a
diverse team of leaders and associates. Helping to drive the firm's
inclusive culture through participation in relevant groups, both
internally and externally. Engaging with the Vendor management
strategy to extend our offshore talent model.What You'll Need...
- Capable of mentoring and communicating a coherent vision for
enablement strategy and tool usage
- Prior experience leading a team of high-level leaders
required
- In Depth knowledge/experience with Development Experience, QE
Automation and DevSecOps.
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience working with product
teams to develop appropriate level of testing based on the SDLC
(Unit, Integration, API, Smoke, System, Browser compatibility,
etc.)
- Experience in creating a strategic technology direction,
aligning it with tactical activities, and communicating plans
broadly across the organization.
- Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple large and
complex efforts or projects.
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience delivering in a
continuous integration/continuous delivery setting
- Able to perform analyses to solve complex problems and motivate
peers to produce creative products and services
- Proven ability to clearly communicate across multiple
audiences.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and independent with the ability to
work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work on
tight schedules.What Sets You Apart:
