POSITION: Sales Manager
LOCATION: Tacoma, WA
PAY: Competitive Compensation, D.O.E.
OrePac Building Products is looking for a Sales Manager to manage
inside sales, outside sales, and product management teams to meet
sales, margin, and inventory management goals. This position is
also responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating all
sales functions to ensure maximum sales volume and profitability.
Our ideal candidate has a strong sales background and excellent
leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
4+ years of relevant sales and industry experience
Strong leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating,
training, and mentorship
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Effective public speaking skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing
professional behavior and interactions
Ability to travel throughout the local market area up to 70% of the
time (reimbursement will be provided for mileage and vehicle wear
and tear)
Aptitude to develop knowledge of the industry within a given
market
Knowledge base in building materials (preferred but not required);
specific knowledge of doors is a plus
Experience using lead tracking services and customer relationship
management software such as SalesForce.com (preferred but not
required)
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Manage and lead day-to-day sales team performance and
accountability. This includes spending 70% of the time in the field
coaching reps, driving programs, and developing customer
relationships.
Maintain a monthly cadence of ride-alongs with all Outside Sales
Reps. Maintain a bi-weekly cadence of one-on-one meetings with the
Inside Sales Supervisor and Product Managers to ensure that inside,
outside, and product management functions are in lock step.
Develop and implement sales plans, marketing strategies, and
promotions to meet assigned targets. Assigned targets must be
identified in the annual business plan (3-5 work objectives).
Develop optimum distribution policies for products using market
research. Work with Operations to determine GMA delivery
routes.
Develop customer segment strategies and rank customers A-D.
Implement "just say yes" program based on annual program rules.
Conduct quarterly customer reviews with A and B customers using the
QBR report.
Establish gross margin levels and manage profitability by product
line.
Develop pricing strategies and maintain price books.
Provide strategic customer engagement and planning to include PK,
facility tours, roadshows, and events.
Maintain/build key vendor relationships with local personnel.
Serve as the intermediary/primary contact for the VP of Sales and
Marketing.
Play a key role in budget planning, forecasting, and
accountability.
Directly supervise up to 25 employees in accordance with company
policies and applicable laws, including: interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees
(including termination); addressing complaints and resolving
problems
