As the Child Care Senior Program Director 2, you will provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of child care programs. You will assist the general administration of the branch, including supervision, fiscal management, financial development, program administration, and development of community collaborations. -- Per Governor Inslee's-- Proclamation 21-14.1 , employees of an educational setting must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no later than October 18, 2021 unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.   • You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or equivalent degree, knowledge and experience.
  • You have five years' experience in the development, delivery and management of child care programs or equivalent, with full understanding of child care regulations and licensing requirements.
  • You have knowledge of and experience in directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising.
  • You enjoy working with school aged children and diverse populations.
  • You have a current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
  • Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required. Essential Functions Planning and Program Delivery: -- Provide leadership, direction and vision for the operation of all child care programs. -- Maintain compliance with DEL standards. -- Guide and ensure enrollment goals are met and maintained. -- Assist in the development of consistent standards and measures - the internal audit - for Child Care. -- Develop and support child care team in readiness for awareness tours and affiliated marketing events.Meet identified goals for these areas. -- Ensure effective systems are in place to measure the quality of programs and services and to receive and respond to parents' concerns and comments, in a timely and appropriate manner. -- Develop centralized communication tool for families. -- Assure compliance with state and local regulations. -- Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed. -- Establish, maintain, and nurture key community partnerships: School district and state licensers. -- Continue to assess/nurture opportunities in school districts, negotiate more space as necessary. -- Develop opportunities to create connection with YMCA Branches- establish and strengthen relationships with facility branch program directors and senior level staff. -- Work with the executive director to develop relationships with community leaders, assess child care needs in the district. Fiscal Management: -- Assist in the development of an annual budget that reflects program goals and needs. -- Review and monitor monthly revenue and expenses. -- Ensure stewardship of program resources. -- Meet identified growth goals. Supervision: -- Recruit, hire, orient, train, and supervise staff to ensure the quality of service provided and to meet state licensing standards. -- Identify effective marketing of child care job opportunities.Create and nurture key community partnerships that will result in marketing of job opportunities. -- Facilitate communication and provide leadership. -- Review and evaluate staff performance. -- Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. -- Review, approve, and submit staff time cards to payroll department per schedule. -- Schedule shifts and process time off requests for staff. -- Provide all departmental staff with professional development. -- Ensure that all mandatory training is scheduled and funded. Financial Development and Philanthropy:
    • Meet performance measurement by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill our mission.
    • Assist staff leadership team in reaching campaign goals through recruiting campaigners, making personal asks and supporting branch events.
    • Provide leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees/
      boards as assigned.
    • Develop relationships with internal/external members to secure and support branch financial development success. Provide training and equip staff with tools to better communicate our cause.
      Required Certifications -- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred. -- Current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid and Oxygen certifications.
