PeopleReadyTheDirector of Platform Solution Architectureis responsible for executing the vision for the modernization and re-platforming of the PeopleReady technology stack, from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to determine the solutions that are appropriate for the back office functions for a well-established, thriving business including . S/he will bring a wealth of experience and expertise in application and integration architecture and apply it to develop an enterprise solution for PeopleReadys growing business needs. The role will require ensuring that the shared vision spans teams and manages dependencies with both internal and external development efforts. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Envision and implement enterprise-level cloud-based scalable architecture that supports both internal and client-facing applications. * Implement automated, repeatable performance and load testing where appropriate, to ensure that our users are delighted with their PeopleReady experience. * Design and implement role-based security across the enterprise application suite. * Drive an automation culture throughout delivery: testing, deployment, configuration. * Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Development capabilities and practices for optimal automation, velocity, and reactivity, as part of a DevOps culture. * Closely collaborate with Product Management on product planning and execution. * Define and enforce architecture standards that will be monitored and followed across multiple scrum teams, working closely with individual software engineering leads. * In addition to high-level vision and planning, this role will also require rolling up your sleeves on a regular basis to tackle complex coding solutions, perform team code reviews, and develop proofs of concept. * Work closely with multiple Agile Scrum teams, often as a member of a particular team, in close conjunction with engineering leads and developers. * Cooperate with architects and directors in the PeopleReady Technology team and from other business units with the TrueBlue corporate umbrella, in an effort to share knowledge, resources, and learnings for the overall growth and success of the organization. REQUIREMENTS: * 10+ years of full stack software development experience * 5+ years of integration development experience * 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud-based infrastructure and services * 3+ years of experience leading teams that have run Agile Scrum methodology * 3+ years of experience partnering with and/or building a Dev Ops team and culture * Must have hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies such as API Gateway and Lambda. * Must have hands-on experience building APIs and implementing common SOA design patterns and experience with REST web services. * Solid ORM and OOD skills are required * Proven track record of building successful full-stack applications, products, and platforms * Proven track record of building successful integrations between applications, products and platforms * Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certificate is a big plus. * Experience with .NET Core and other open source frameworks. * Experience with MySQL, Aurora Postgres, SQL Server databases. * Experience with Mongo or other document-based databases. * Experience with GitLab Runners, Docker and Jenkins preferred. * Self-sufficient and highly motivated, self-directed and possess high energy.
