Find your future with us.Come join Boeing's Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers Team in Tukwila, WA and the unique opportunity to work on the next generation Presidential Aircraft, VC-25B. -The VC-25B Interiors Team is seeking multiple Interiors Integration Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to fill critical positions.As an Interiors Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for interfacing heavily with our customer, supplier, sub-tiers, and other Boeing teams to provide strong requirements management, certification, and program management to solve complex technical challenges. -The team will focal specific areas of the interior and drive technical resolution, integrated development, and change for areas including, but not limited to, passenger seats, lighting, ceilings, sidewalls, floors, monuments, and furnishings. -Engineers will maintain conversations with our USAF counterparts to develop and maintain relationships and act as the 'voice of the customer' in supplier interactions.This is a high visibility role with technical assignments that directly support the VC-25B program's top level goals, initiatives, and challenges. This position offers the potential to broaden skills and experience across multiple engineering disciplines, commodities, and business units.The ideal candidate should be willing to stretch beyond their experience base and lead where process definition may not exist or is unclear. He/She will be self-motivated, able to work under consultative direction, has excellent people skills, and has the ability to negotiate, build consensus, and deliver results. A quick learner that possesses the ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts across multiple disciplines.Position Responsibilities

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
  • Works under general directionThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering related field
    • 3+ years with commercial or modification of Payloads and Interior commodities
    • 3+ years of experience working with Suppliers
    • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines
    • Experience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand conceptsPreferred Qualifications :
      • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Experience with Military or Commercial Derivative Aircraft
      • Experience with delivery and certification processes, working with FAA regulations, and Regulatory Administration
      • Experience working across multiple business units and/or complex organizations
      • Experience with leading major design changes through multiple phases of product lifecycle
      • Experience communicating with senior leadership and program customers
      • Ability to work out of comfort zone, where process definition does not exist or is unclear
      • Ability to take ownership / initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm, remove roadblocksTypical Education/Experience (Level 3)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
