Now Seeking Qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanics -An authorized
distributor of multiple world-leading heavy equipment lines is
seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their repair
and service team. This dealer prides itself on its ability to
tailor solutions that exceed customer expectations for any given
requirement. The role of Heavy Equipment Mechanic will serve as an
integral contributor in furthering this mission.Job Summary:The
Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining,
repairing, and troubleshooting heavy equipment such as bulldozers,
excavators, and cranes. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in mechanical repair, with experience working on heavy
equipment in the construction or mining industry.Key
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic
systems on heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil,
replacing filters, and lubricating parts
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
- Identify and order necessary replacement parts
- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient
manner
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
activities
- Communicate effectively with other team members and
supervisors
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulationsQualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational or technical school program in heavy
equipment repair or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and
maintenance
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight
deadlines
- Valid driver's license and clean driving recordPhysical
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of
time
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
