apply. Compensation range for onsite WA applicants is
$110,000-$180,000. Employee benefits include: Medical (HSA & PPO),

Paid Holiday, and bonus potential.Responsibilities:
- Create new product development proposals based on technologies,
trends, and marketplace needs.
- Take design of products from concept to practical solution, and
to end users.
- Develop solutions and review technical decisions that have high
impact, both internal and external to AST.
- Contribute to and have responsibility for the completion of
assignments with broad product, technology investment and
integration, customer, and strategic impact.
- Develop or refine complex software functions, control systems,
processes, products, and concepts, by applying advanced theories,
concepts, principles, and processes for the assigned area.
- Perform new product/system performance testing, evaluation, and
reporting.
- Promote the advancement and effective utilization of technology
in products and processes.
- Estimates and creates project budgets and schedules then
self-manage to expectations.
- Optimize, enhance, and renew existing/legacy platforms,
process, and technologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to
generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short
periods of time.
- Simultaneously manage multiple high visibility projects and
tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating
with internal and external business partners, contractors, and
vendors.
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering
projects.
- 25% travel expected. Qualifications:
- Engineering Bachelor/Master's degree, ideally in electrical,
software, control engineering and/or design.
- 10 years of practical engineering and innovation
experience.
- In-depth experience with common industrial programming
languages, HMI designs, industrial communications, smart machine,
AI/machine learning, machine automation hardware/software, advanced
sensory systems including machine visions.
- Ability to apply and integrate knowledge of other related
engineering fields or experts to own area of expertise.
- Collaborative team player who plays well with others,
interdepartmentally and cross functionally to achieve company
goals.
- Activelistener, unites team members, and seeks resolution.
- Strategic thinker who enjoys innovation and problem solving and
goes above and beyond to identify root causes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without
restriction.
- Must be willing to take and successfully pass a drug test.
