With four conveniently located offices in the Puget Sound (Everett, Seattle, Tacoma, and Bellevue), we offer the flexibility to work from one or multiple offices to meet the needs of our team members.As a Senior Wastewater Treatment Engineer in the Puget Sound, you will have the opportunity to balance your marketing relationships with your ability to lead and grow a local delivery team while receiving the support from firmwide resources.   • Lead the growth and development of our wastewater treatment practice throughout the Puget Sound
  • Develop new relationships to expand our client base and strengthen relationships through commitment to quality and client service
  • Attend and present at professional conferences that support our growth goals
  • Work with and manage multi-disciplinary technical teams (Murraysmith staff and subconsultants)
  • Manage work programs, project schedules, and budgets
  • Guide and mentor our talented mid- to junior-level staff
  • Provide excellent client serviceDesired skills and experience:
    • Project management experience, including developing scopes of work, reviewing invoices, and managing client communications
    • Managing municipal and public-sector projects (state, county, city and federal)
    • Comprehensive understanding of wastewater treatment fundamental theory, design practices, and local and federal standards and regulations.
    • Project experience with wastewater treatment, planning, design, and construction
    • Ability to lead, train, motivate, and work within a team
    • Ability to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-discipline teams, and managementRequired qualifications:
      • BS in Engineering, Master's Degree preferred
      • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington state, or the ability to obtain reciprocity upon employment
      • Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience
      • Strong technical and marketing background
      • Active participation in wastewater industry associationsIdeal qualifications:
        • Client contacts and experience working in the Pacific Northwest
        • Strong technical and marketing background in the Puget SoundTo be successful, you have:

          • Demonstrated success developing relationships with clients and being selected for project contracts
          • Motivation and the ability to work independently with multiple priorities
