This team is responsible for the deployment and support of Infoblox's cloud-based initiatives. In this role you will fully automate the provisioning, deployment, management, and monitoring of a rapidly evolving and highly scalable set of SaaS services. You will also assist in optimizing the performance and costs of our ongoing SaaS deployment and tooling.This is an exciting opportunity at an established yet fast-growing company to push cloud automation boundaries and gain hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining a DevOps platform shared across several applications.You're the ideal candidate if you enjoy implementing iterative improvements to make everyone's job easier, improving engineering efficiency, mentoring junior members/leadership and promoting best practices, and going past "unblocking the issue" to find the root cause trigger(s).What you'll do:

  • Design and develop DevOps processes and tools to automate and audit operations
  • Champion constant improvement of our methods to deploy & support Infoblox's cloud architecture
  • Take ownership and drive projects through completion (i.e., "done done," "past the finish line")
  • Efficiently handle multiple requests of varying priority in addition to your assigned daily tasks
  • Mentor junior engineers in best practices, automation, and data-driven approaches
  • Participate in our DevOps 24x7 on-call production support rotationWhat you'll bring:
    • 8+ years supporting a high availability cloud environment in a DevOps, SRE, or sysadmin role
    • 4+ years working in Amazon Web Services - EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.
    • Microsoft Azure experience is a plus
    • Extensive, detailed networking skills (VPC, VPN, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, DNS)
    • Provisioning, deploying and supporting containers with Helm, Kubernetes (Kops), and Docker
    • Scripting/development using Python/Go/bash, with associated source control
    • Deploying and supporting end-to-end CI/CD (Jenkins, Spinnaker, Codepipeline/Build, Ansible, etc.)
    • Hands-on monitoring tool usage (Sysdig, Loggly, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus)
    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a STEM field preferredWhat success looks like:
      • After six months, you will---
        • Have a growing understanding of most of Infoblox's world-class DevOps operations
        • Have helped junior team members by driving root-cause analysis and troubleshooting on complex issues that we encounter
        • Have injected many new ideas on iterative improvements and helped implement a few
        • After about a year, you will-----
          • Have a broad understanding of the entirety of Infoblox's world-class DevOps operations
          • Have worked with other leaders in the DevOps organization to improve DevOps processes
