Job Description:
Qualifications: Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate
Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in the field of education
Appropriate Endorsement Washington State Sexual Misconduct

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to
instructional programs Ability to establish and maintain effective

Depending upon individual assignments, the teacher performs all or
a combination of several of the following duties: Plan, implement,
and evaluate classroom instruction and activity programs consistent
with building and adopted district curriculum Diagnose and
prescribe learning programs for individual and groups of students
based on aptitude, interest, and level of achievement Provide
individual and small group instruction and adapt curriculum to meet
the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds
Motivate, discipline, and interact with students in a productive
manner Create and maintain a classroom environment that is
conducive to learning and appropriate to student interests and
abilities Use district and state assessments and standards in
developing curriculum and instruction Develop instruction goals and
objectives to meet teaching assignments Provide appropriate
preparation for state-mandated testing Prepare teaching materials
and reports (e.g. grades, attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for
the purpose of implementing lesson plans and providing
documentation of teacher and student progress through progress
monitoring Evaluate each student’s performance and growth in
knowledge and understanding, and prepares progress reports
Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to
provide an orderly and productive environment Instruct students in
proper care and use of materials and organizes storage areas and
controls use of materials to prevent loss or abuse Carry out the
assignments designated by the building principal Perform other
duties and responsibilities as assigned Effectively utilize
district technology appropriately State/District Mandated
Requirements: Valid First Aid/CPR/AED card or ability to attain one
Fingerprinting (paid by employee) I-9 Employment Eligibility in
compliance with the Immigration Reform Act HIV/HBV Training
(district provided) Sexual Harassment Training (district provided)
Terms of Employment: Work year shall be concurrent with the school
