collaboration, and respect. The Team Our 11-person Finance team is
responsible for overseeing accounting operations for Cascade,
maintaining accounting systems, executing and improving our
financial processes and internal controls, supporting our
investment professionals, and providing financial analysis and
reporting. We pride ourselves on delivering stellar work to the
organization while fostering an atmosphere of connection,
belonging, and fun! We operate in a hybrid work environment, with
three in-office and two remote workdays per week. The Position
Finance’s accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core
accounting responsibilities at Cascade. You know your accounting
principles and accounting processes end to end. You will own the
accounting responsibilities for Cascade’s primary operating entity
as well as other investment holding companies. You’ll also oversee
the importing and reconciliation of externally-produced financial
information into Cascade’s accounting system, and then make your
own impact by expanding the recent automated process to import
annual budgets. Every day is a new challenge, and you’re

needed. You move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and
you tap into your problem-solving skills to support our business
objectives. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end accounting
activities for Cascade’s main operating entity and several
investment holding companies. This includes recording revenue and
expense accruals, reviewing invoices for appropriate GL coding, and
performing monthly general ledger closing activities Oversee all
accounting activities related to the organization’s capital
expenditures, which includes corporate fixed assets as well as
capital expenditures of several real estate investments. This
involves recording the recurring accounting entries, maintaining
the separate fixed-asset tracking system, and performing periodic
account reconciliations Own the preparation and delivery of
financial reporting to internal clients, such as variance reporting
and capital expenditure budget/actual analyses, while also
preparing comprehensive annual tax packages to support accurate and
timely tax return filings Manage the reconciliation, preparation,
and delivery of the quarterly spend report, a key financial
deliverable that provides leadership with clear, actionable
insights into Cascade’s expenditures, supporting strategic
decision-making and accountability Elevate the quality and
professionalism of financial reporting processes to ensure full
GAAP compliance, driving increased accuracy, transparency, and
strategic insight for internal and external stakeholders Prepare
and submit various state and local tax filings (i.e., B&O,
personal property, sales/use tax) Lead all aspects of Finance’s
primary banking activities, such as reviewing and posting daily
cash activity, and performing bank reconciliations Collect, import,
and reconcile externally-managed accounting data for certain real
estate investments into Cascade’s accounting system Identify and
implement process changes that increase the effectiveness of
Finance’s internal controls Perform limited backup support for
AP/payment processing when the dedicated AP specialist is out
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting is
required; CPA or CPA-candidate a plus 5-8 years of relevant
accounting experience Proficient knowledge of GAAP principles Very
strong Excel skills Detail-oriented, organized, and a demonstrated
commitment to quality/accuracy Intellectually curious and driven to
be a problem-solver Pro-active, self-motivated, with ability to
multi-task and work independently in a hybrid environment Adaptable
and willing to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and
support evolving team needs as they arise Superior interpersonal
and communication skills Highest level of professionalism and
integrity Familiarity with Yardi accounting system, CCH fixed asset
software, and PowerBI a plus Knowledge or experience with the real
estate or financial services industry a plus What We Offer Cascade
is committed to paying employees equitably for substantially
similar work. Base salary for this position will be determined
during the interview process and will vary based on multiple
reasons, including but not limited to relevant experience,
knowledge, education, and degree to which a candidate meets the
role requirements, current business needs, and market factors. A
reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this
position will generally be between $95,000 to $115,000 per year,
but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on
these reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, base
salary is only part of the total compensation package as we believe
that our employees are the reason for our success, and in
recognition of their contributions, eligible employees may
participate in a generous annual performance-based discretionary
