Description: Weyerhaeuser is a leading timber, land and forest

Ventures group is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and
investing in high-potential opportunities that align with our
strategic objectives. We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Director to join our Ventures investment team. The Director, WY
Ventures will identify, source, and successfully manage investment
transactions to grow and enhance the value of our Climate Solutions
portfolio. Success will require strong leadership and teamwork
skills, including the ability to manage high performing individuals
and lead cross-functional teams throughout the organization. The
ability to successfully manage a fast paced and rapidly changing
set of high-impact priorities is key. Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Evaluation: Evaluate the company’s Climate Solutions
portfolio to identify strategic growth opportunities. Investment
Thesis Development: Identify strategic growth opportunities and
lead development of investment cases for strategic Joint Ventures,
co-investments, acquisitions and related transactions. Strategy
Execution: Define and lead the execution of the company’s
investment strategy to maximize the value of its Climate Solutions
portfolio. External Networks: Build and maintain relationships with
investment partners and industry experts to enhance deal flow and
market intelligence. Internal Relationships: Cultivate strong
internal relationships to form and execute through highly effective
cross functional teams and ensure alignment with company strategy.
Transaction Leadership: Execute a disciplined process to thoroughly
evaluate investments. Work closely with operational, legal,
finance, tax and other teams to conduct thorough due diligence and
successfully manage transaction processes. Investment
Recommendations: Develop and maintain complex financial models to
support investment decisions and portfolio management. Prepare and
present detailed investment recommendations for leadership review
and approval up to the company’s Senior Management Team. Market
Research: Develop a deep understanding of Climate Solutions
markets, asset value, industry trends, emerging technologies, and
competitive dynamics to develop investment strategy.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics,
or a related field required; CFA, MBA, or other advanced degree
preferred. 10 years of experience in investment banking, private
equity, venture capital, or a related field and 5 years of people
leadership. Demonstrated track record of creative problem solving,
structuring and executing successful investments. Demonstrated
success in building strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work
independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for innovation and shaping the future of natural capital
investments. Willing to travel 25% of the time. What We Offer:
Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase
program, and we are targeting a salary range of $157,562-$236,484
based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You
will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which
offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan
funding may range from zero to two times that target. This position
includes a Long-Term-Incentive plan of $51,000.00 Benefits : When

insurance. We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which
includes a company contribution. Other benefit options are also

fulfilling career. Retirement : Employees are able to enroll in our
company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in
addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base
salary. Paid Time Off or Vacation : We provide eligible employees
who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of
paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In
addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees
begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven
paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and
paid parental leave for all full-time employees. About
