Position Summary
Under general direction of the Finance Director, the Budget
Specialist is responsible for College Budget functions including
possessing a thorough understanding of budget techniques, revenue
and expenses, forecasting and reconciliation. The position prepares
the annual operating and biennium capital budgets; track, process
and reconcile financial commitments and activity on a monthly
basis; maintain records and monitor correspondence; develop/prepare
reports and related budget management functions.
The Budget Specialist works with complex college information and
data, and serves as an expert in the integration and utilization of
budget management processes and data analysis. It requires an
organized, independent, motivated individual with interpersonal
skills, the knowledge and ability to research accounting issues and
the ability to independently make decisions. Strong troubleshooting
and analytical skills, decision-making ability, accuracy, and
excellent general ledger accounting skills as well as good
communication skills are needed.

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time professional exempt position scheduled to work
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Flexibility in
scheduling is required to meet business and program needs. Work
location is Building 8 on the TCC Main Campus. The salary range for
this position is $66,000-$76,000 DOE/DOQ. The salary will be
prorated to reflect the actual number of contract days worked in
the remainder of the fiscal year. The College offers a generous

pay. Degrees must be from accredited colleges or universities
recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and verified by
