We are looking for an Accounting Specialist based out of our corporate office in Tacoma, WA. The salary range for this position is: $60k - $70k. This is a hybrid position - working in-office and remotely (after initial training period).Purpose: As a Corporate Accounting Specialist you will provide tactical finance operational and transactional support, including accurate financial reporting and review, administering Accounting processes, and training and supporting other Burkhart associates. Your communication skills, big picture thinking and financial acumen are key to your success in this role.What you'll be doing---+ SUPPORT BURKHART'S FINANCIAL HEALTH through financial operational support and transactional duties.+ ENSURE COMPLIANCE with accounting requirements and procedures by following invoice and payment guidelines.+ FOSTER POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS with leadership, associates, and departmental partners by ensuring a collaborative environment with successful sharing of ideas, information, and resources.+ SUPPORT ACCOUNTING TEAM SUCCESS by working on projects and tasks as assigned, including tasks such as preparation of monthly journal entries, corporate credit card program support, trial balance accuracy review, publication of financial statements, weekly Accounts Payable payment run approvals, bad debt allowance usage tracking, and backup banking activity support.+ CONTRIBUTE TO BURKHART'S SUCCESS by modeling the Burkhart culture to clients and team members, accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.What success looks like---+ FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Significant value is added to the company through your in-depth financial analysis and transactional support stemming from your expert-level knowledge of core Department responsibilities and processes.+ ACCURACY: Accurate work is a priority. You ultimately solve problems, with or without additional support.What you'll need---+ Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or closely related field.
