communities we serve.*About the Opportunity*The Clinical Trials
Nurse Navigator (CTNN) will work with researchers, cancer clinical
trials conduct staff, physicians, peers, community colleagues, and
others to oversee and coordinate a patient navigation program
designed to increase enrollment on cancer clinical trials within
BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities.* The CCTN
will participate in hiring, develop and implement training for, and
supervise three grant-funded oncology patient navigators.* The CCTN
will partner with the Clinical Trials Advisory Board in the
development of a patient navigator program.* The CCTN will
cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with community
organizations that serve racially/ethnically diverse populations
within MultiCares catchment area and coordinate an online patient
resource directory to address health related social needs.* This is
a grant-funded position that will run through July 2025.* The CCTN
will work remotely but must have the ability to attend meetings and
build relationships onsite at MultiCare Cancer Institute facilities
in the Puget Sound Region as well as at community organizations
with MultiCares Puget Sound catchment.*This position requires:**
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years
from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be
considered in lieu of education agreement* Advanced degree in
Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred* Current Registered Nurse
license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement
(MLS)* OCN, highly desirable* Three to five (3-5) years of recent
clinical experience in area of specialty required* Demonstrated
supervisory experience or prior position in a leadership role* An
intentional commitment to racial and health equity principles*
History of working with racially/ethnically diverse communities*
Demonstrated experience building and leveraging trust among groups
with diverse cultural backgrounds and implementing culturally
informed care practices* Knowledge of social/structural
determinants of health* Demonstrated self-direction, motivation,
organization, and interpretation of information relating to
oncology and cancer clinical trial policies, procedures, and
programs.* Knowledge and expertise in cancer clinical trials* The
ability to design, direct, and implement training plans* The CTNN
